Stay Healthy
Tips for a Healthy Living
1 - Wash Your Hands Often – this is one of the most important and easy step steps you can take
to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.
2 - Manage stress – Remember, it’s the holidays and supposed to be fun. Don’t be afraid to ask
others to pitch in if you need help.
3 - Eat Healthy and be Active – Enjoy the food in moderation. Select just one or two of your
favorites from the host of tempting and not-so-healthy foods.
4 - Food Labels – Know how to read food labels, and buy healthy foods.
5 - Travel Safely – Don’t drink and drive. If you are out and have had too much to drink,
call a friend or a taxi, always have a designated driver for the ride home.
6 - Handle and Prepare Food Safely – Avoid food related illness by washing hands and work
surfaces often. Avoid cross contamination by keeping raw meat, poultry, seafood and eggs
away from ready-to-eat foods and eating surfaces. Cook foods to the proper temperature and
refrigerate promptly.
